Howard R. Jean is the Principal of SEIL Global Group which specializes in economic development for small and mid-sized firms in the areas of business development and strategic partnerships. Jean was instrumental in launching the Black Business Chamber in St. Louis, MO in response to the series of events that followed the death of Mike Brown, Jr. Over Jean’s career, he has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Tavis Smiley Radio Show, The Washington Business Journal, USA Today, Essence, and was featured on the cover of ARETE Magazine, all for his service in education and business. In 2014, Jean founded the BME Institute, an entrepreneurship accelerator for Black Male Entrepreneurs. Jean is a founding board member of the Greater Washington Black Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC and teaches tennis to youth and adults in Washington, DC metropolitan area.
