With that said, all birds need to eat and have their own way of surviving. Sometimes nature is cruel and ugly. I have no means of preventing these birds from visiting my feeder. When the seed catch tray was added, the Grackles stopped coming. Although a gorgeous birds, It is good to be rid of them as they are well known to carry and spread disease.
