About 12 weeks into a 5 x 5 program and I've been feeling a bit beat up the last few weeks...3 to 7 weeks was surprising but makes sense. I thought 12 weeks before a deload... I needed this a while ago!

I deload every other week. One week, high intensity, and next week, higher reps with not much less weight than my working weight. Works wonders.

Just take a week off. Itโ€™s not going to kill you. Donโ€™t lift weights light etc unless your in competitions. Just have a break. You will find you will come back stronger.

after a deload would you go straight back into the same accumulation levels as the final week of the last meso? or just slightly before to build up?

Idk if I need a deload, but Iโ€™m starting to think I actually need like a longer than a week deload bc Iโ€™m injuring myself almost every workout and literally nothing is pain free

Why not rather stop training completely for one week every 6 weeks?

|

@DarkoFitCoach

No way dude. I just take a week off. Forget about 80% of intensity bla bla. Just relax
