It's become known as the "Starlink Train", part of the SpaceX Starlink Satellite project. There are over 4,000 of these satellites orbiting in the night sky, but most of them are invisible to our eyes.
You're not alone. Many reported seeing a series of lights flying in a train-like formation across North Carolina a little after 9:00 p.m.

I saw this over Palmdale California. While I was fishing the California aqueduct on Tuesday between 8:30 and 9:00pm. My cousin saw it first and pointed it to me. He claimed to have seen this before.
