Fun fact, this is also the exact opposite problem with VR headsets. VR headsets are known to cause naseua because your eyes detect motion but your ears dont, which causes you to feel sick. Its the opposite situation but it has the same results.

I have motion sickness in cars, buses and boats. I cannot read or look at my phone while driving, I will get motion sickness really fast. What helps me is to look outside the horizon or anything that's passing by - cars, trees, buildings etc. As soon as I look down for more than a minute I get motion sickness again 😅 So usually commuting is phone free time for me and I like to listen to good music while I'm driving to/from somewhere

similar issue happens in videogames with lower field of view sometimes! (60 is standard, but depending on how close you are to the screen, this doesn't line up with your eyes properly.)
