i can’t believe ppl say that modeling isn’t a talent bc it actually takes work to be able to know how to pose correctly. def not as much talent as being a musician or writer for example but modeling is definitely a talent. edit: theyre two different things OBVIOUSLY and ive literally stated that multiple times. please leave me alone and stop trying to pick fights when i already made my point clear that theyre not comparable

It's knowing how to pose that majorly contributes to how you can look on a picture.

In art we use something called line of action, it is a sort guide to make the pose look more fluid and dynamic. Without it* the poses tend to look more stiff and forced.
*in well done pieces you can find it even if the artist didn’t consciously use it

As a dance teacher, I’d also add that in any pose it’s important to engage the whole body, especially the core muscles. If you pose your arms an elevated pose but don’t connect them to the core, they will look disconnected and awkward. Compared to Zendaya for example, she’s activating her entire body and not just focusing on certain parts, like arms.
