Stunning, Rich. I’m in the act of trying out a new distortion generator that was built during 2020 in Japan, the Rancher GOAT Generator. It’s purpose was to approximate the sound of the Tom Scholz Rockman distortion module and place it into a stomp box. Happy accident of this pedal is that delivers not the Rockman tone associated with Boston’s Third Stage and its successors but the sound I have been aiming at since the late 90s, Don’t Look Back. What I’d like to know is if there is perchance some kind of profiling technology in the HX stomp unit you were plugged into here that could potentially emulate this same tone if desired. Line 6 equipment has always impressed me, although I’ve have for the moment abandoned it because the only product of theirs I know if that runs on battery power is the Pocket Pod. Battery power has become way too important to me.
