DIFFERENT COLORED FLOWERS, SAME CACTUS SPECIES! Some Parodia mammulosa forms #parodia #cactus #cacti

The "normal" form of the relatively commonly grown Parodia mammulosa cactus (formerly aka Notocacactus mammulosus) flower is colored yellow. However, this cactus species is also highly variable, with several forms showing quite distinctly different colored blooms.

This video also features a pink-colored form, the formerly called Notocactus "roseoluteus", as well as a stunning, red-colored version "rubriflorus".

Hence, note, with highly variable cacti species, the flower color can be neither unique nor always very reliable to use for identification of the species.

Enjoy!
Joe
