Sometimes when you are able to buy it early, blue trinket can be a useful permanent ward in your own jngl or lane bushes. When I play supp/jngl and aggressively, that is my go to ward for my jngl and a substitute for control wards when slots are out. Useful for late game vision for monitoring enemy movement when most turrets are gone.

The trick is. You can never use it wrong if you never use blue trinkets in the first place.

I'd say set up blue trinket wards in brush where enemies might go to later but aren't at yet since you can have unlimited blue trinkets out at a time, but for scouting use it in the middle of the area to see all brush

This works in high elo where the team actually looks at the minimap and sees the blue trinket being used...in lower elo's the permanent vision in a brush is more usefull as players will glance at the map less often and would rather have it set to being there longer then in shorter burst.
Same goes for vision wards(the red clearing wards that cost around 75 gold as of this day) ,many people in low elo don't know or don't care about it's ability to deny vision of normal trinkets in an area but gives vision back when hitting trinkets or other enemy vision wards and so lose important objectives fight cause of it.(yes i know that some people destroy them to deny Teleportations,but that's a whole other aspect that i will not get into right now).
All i am saying is that its not that people place things wrong or play them incorrectly but instead efficiency and long term benefits are not as important in lower elo....cause people in lower elo compared to high elo are more like on a sea fod diet,they see food they kill it rather then high elo which in comparison are more like on a fine dinning diet.

Also when baron spawns put it behind the baron, it will be hard for enemy to target the ward because baron hitbox is right on it.

Wow, that's really different to how i use blue trinkets. I always try to use it in very strange spots so they stay up all game.
