Be careful while calling it or Hinduism pagan, it's a latin word for ignoramus which means backward rural peasant. It comes from the fact that majority of urban population had converted to Christianity while the rural backward illiterates stuck with old religions till they no longer could.
Also unlike Indian Christians, European Christians didn't disown their previous heritage completely. Indian Christianity is born out of rebellion and self hatred which wasn't the case for Europe. For Europe it was more about centralization of power and prevention of a coup.

America was built on the principles of Protestant not Catholic church. God in the bible gave humans free will to choose. Greeks and Romans became the founding stone of Western Civilization which themselves adopted Christian doctrines.

1) there’s different between free speech absolutism and free speech. Free will has been a thing given by god. Many of those constitutional rights are considered god given rights.
America was never meant to be an explicitly in your face screaming how much of a Christian country it is. America has always been intended as a moral or religious country by the founders. They wanted unity and no division. They wanted constitutional republic not a theocracy.
Just like I don’t need india to be full on theocratic oppressive country and to scream in peoples faces to understand that India is a Hindu country. It is a democratic Hindu country. Being democratic doesn’t automatically dismiss that fact.

European culture and ancient paganism is very different from Indian culture. India is divided by its culture while Europe is united by its culture. Indian thinking is corrupt based on selfishness and greed. European thinking is based on unified betterment and unified progress hence all inventions happen there and in America - a nation built by Europeans. America is no different than Europe. Not 1 tiny bit.

Actually none of that is true. America was founded as a sanctuary for various protestant christians that founded America as a liberal state standing on the writings of various European enlightenment philosophers who modeled the idea of human rights and freedoms on the basis of protestant reformation theology which itself has it's source squarely within the Christian Bible
