The problem is you have pretty extreme biases in historiography. Real historians don’t conflate sexual assault with homosexuality; that’s something people do in retrospect when they already dislike gay people.
LAC’s entire long video is a good example of doing history terribly. It’s a pseudo-intellectual nightmare with basically no substance.
