Audeze MM-500 changed my life. Unreal how good they are for mixing. Also spectacular for sound design work, but that’s a whole other ball game. There’s just so much transient detail and they aren’t hyped at all which I love.

So he says he doesn’t use headphone software so as not to mess with the intended sound but you can definitely achieve great sounds with certain software!
The best one on the market by far is SoundIDref (the headphone edition). All this tries to do is take your headphone‘s frequency chart and make it flat as would a properly treated studio would sound… pair this up with GoodHertz’s CanOpener, which effectively takes away the stereo separation that occurs by using over ear headphones (speakers usually have a phantom center that results from the left speaker reaching your right ear later than your left and the same for your other speaker). also 1990 pro here!!! ❤i also own the closed one for bleeding when using microphones...i got them because they sound a bit like my most used speakers (ALSO Neumann 120 😂😂😂😂)...topping on the cake is a subpac, build in to my chair...but i believe they dont make those anymore. In total this is the ultimate setup for me, i think i produced, written and mixed over 800 releases with this 😂😂😂 I used the Audeze ones but i thought they were to big for traveling and too much mid?

Yeah... Got the Beyerdynamic DT Pro... Amazing to work with. COmbined with an Apollo Twin I litterally can hear any detail in a track. Anything. Amazing tools!

I'm surprised how good the $59 sold out pair from Status Audio are. Very light, comfortable to wear and have a balanced freq response (no bass bump like the well known Sony cans around $100)

i couldnt imagine setting up so many different camera angles and acting out the same thing again just to point out something that could have been done in a few short sentences in the description. Whats it like to be a talented audio engineer and have to make shorts like this all the time?

Thank you ! This is exactly what I am looking for. I have just moved to a new spot and the room is pretty small to build my studio with monitors V8 the first series. Will take a while until I can mobilise a new location to have my studio with speakers. Headphones will probably be the main thing for me.

Thoughts on the Sony MDR7506 headphones? Have heard many positive things, including from Sonny Digital who uses them exclusively.

I really got some golden nuggets from you!!! ❤❤❤ One tip back to you: you could try to insert the Waves VX noise removal plugin BEFORE anything else on the vocal. I can hear the room in the vocal and this plugin can sometimes clean that up, for this extra bit of pro-sounding quality, even with recordings in 'bad' rooms 🎉 ❤

Sorta speakers from pa Systems, speakers I bought from 5 below and where ever .. I use it all .

I’m happy with my LCD-X via RME interface and I don’t really need headphone amp.
