Lol I literally experienced something similar with catsitting. But they had a cat. But I think they also wanted a friend... It's amazing how much you are also there for the person. Especially older people who need a catsitter. I don't mind listening to them and talking to them. I'm single, so I understand it's nice to have a talk with someone now and again.
