The rivalry is purely religion based. The Quran says:
Quran (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then SLAY THE IDOLATERS wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them.
Quran (3:151) - "We will throw terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they attribute to God partners for which He revealed no sanction. Their lodging is the Fire. Miserable is the lodging of the evildoers.
So this should be enough to conclude what their intentions are whereas Hindus donāt have anything like that making them targets for no reason. They have destroyed Hindu cultures yet modern day Hindus preach peace with them not knowing they will back stab any chance they get.

As a hindu I can trust every faith from Christians to jews and Sikhs but to trust Islam is fatal .The widespread wahabism Indian is melting pot for civil war even Christians who used to hate the notion of hindu rashtra is rather gaining popularity knowing the right wing is intended to take away islam and India has more than 6 relegious minorities yess there are caste related violence but not death inducing and rather fast disappearing in these times but Muslims especially sunni commit great crimes against Hindus. We call it muslim pockets cities with Muslims majority attacking hindu procession and everything and major Muslims voting for anti-hindu parties are so assured now that Muslims don't stand with cause eof Hindus so you get thr clear picture if civil war happens it's because of two factors the nature of Hindus who thought Islam can co-exist and also consider Hindus as their brethren and borthers
