I think reps matter too. I do touch and go with straps when I'm doing over six reps on deadlift but, if I'm doing less than that then I do the competition variation. Touch and go does have the added benefit of adding in more eccentric work.

I've never done touch & go and deadlift is my only strong lift of the big 3. Pulled 500lb at 165lb. Long femurs short torso build lol
