I was wondering, do any other teen fans have this problem? because I don’t know what to do about it.
so, my parents are both VERY homophobic and strict on like swearing and such, and from what I’ve seen, Robbie’s concerts are quite fruity and obviously he swears in quite a few of his songs. But, there’s multiple shows near me and I have enough money for tickets. I’ve been trying to get one of my parents to take me for months but now I’m giving up. I don’t want to go have a wonderful time just to be lectured on the way home because of something dumb like a pride flag at a concert or swearing. My only friend who likes cavetown also has super strict parents, so that’s not an option. And my eldest brother (who thankfully isn’t homophobic nor does he care about swearing) would be willing to take me to a concert, but he dislikes cavetown (not for any particular reason, just not his music style)
should I just give up on trying to go?
