SNSD also said that newer gens are different and wasn’t as respectful as older idols to their seniors. Before, dongsaengs used to gift their albums to seniors whenever they meet in the hallways, SNSD have always kept them. They said only few that are mostly from the 3rd gen who did that like SVT and Twice. Other idols mostly just ignore their seniors nowadays.

I'm a Korean and it's really not that deep. Yes, we place a lot of importance on greeting and sending people off with a bow, but we don't always do 90 degree bows, nor does doing one make a person any more respectful than someone who does a slight bow. We just bow. It's not like everyone takes bowing classes in normal society. We bow the way we bow, and as long as we do it in the first place, it's fine. I do both depending on how I feel, and it doesn't make a difference. We don't need all of you non-Koreans fussing over the angle of a bow because "Koreans place a lot of importance on bowing." Either way, you're saying "Koreans" place importance on it, so just leave it to the Koreans to decide whether or not bowing at a lesser angle suddenly makes someone the most disrespectful person ever.

For people who don't know. The angle of the bow actually matters. More you bow more you show respect. When smo is older, you tend to bow more or the same to show respect. You don't just slightly bow.
