Think about it... If a judge and defense attorneys are told the cops got information from a confidential informant, why would anyone question it? Why would someone suspect the cops are using technology that tracks movement within a house or cell phone snooping devices? The cops have been caught hiding this information before, and it will continue happening until the courts crack down on it.

one of my old companies i worked with... was bought by an acquisition corporation. They had a team of P.I 's secretly follow all the employees around to see how hard we were working......if we were smoking...Etc. wanting to know which ones to keep. They used drones,.. installed trackers . then eventually came the drug tests and performance reviews. Turns out this was a company owned by cops using taxpayer funded and department provided spying tools.This all came to light when some of that equipment was removed by employees and they came looking for it in uniform no less.
