I'm surprised more people aren't pointing out how good the shellfish call actually is. You typically want a patient with angioedema to avoid shellfish specifically while they're in the hospital, even if that isn't what triggered the reaction. The reason is because many shellfish have pincers, and if they pinch you, that would hurt.

Well, there is country differences in it too. In the US Shellfish is quite popular and widely spread, not so much in the UK where other fish are more common. Same as Peanuts (the US Guys put it everywhere, especially oils).

You were right 3/3 though. Shelfish allergic reaction would present itself as an acute presentation with more stridor/ rash/ angioedema. And almost 40% more likely
