Helium gas is not poisonous as long as it is mixed w/ at least 20% O2. All commercial sources of gas used to inflate balloons contain that mixture. Heliox ( 70% helium/30% O2) is occasionally used in the hospital setting to either improve the effectiveness of inhaled bronchodilators, or in the treatment of severe asthma that is refractory to conventional treatment. TMI ? P.S. How ironic is it that we're running out of helium, when, in fact, it is the second most abundant element in the universe, second only to hydrogen ( a.k.a., 'star fuel'). It was found to exist on the sun before it was found on the Earth. ( Just in case that comes up in your next game of Trivial Pursuit.)

Love Diane, but I'm not sure I want to hang around with her if her social group is filling balloons with poisonous gasses.

Thanks Diane! Helium is not poisonous per se. In fact it is sometimes used with oxygen for really deep scuba dives.

A ball of gas! You have made it sound like they are politicians. 😂❤

And if someone really wanted a ball of your air, that would be creepy, but if you just give it to them wrapped in a balloon.. that is safe...

The poisonous gas idea is exactly what happened in the 1989 Batman🤩

I've never thought of it that way. Simple but really Deep.

The first millisecond of this clip put me in mind of the old Stevie Wonder standard, "Isn't She Lovely". ( the rest of the clip did nothing to cause that memory to dissipate).
