many Grizabellas have nailed this performance in terms of vocal skill and ability, but there's something about Elaine's version that just hits so much harder. she really conveys the pain and tiredness and desperation to be accepted by the family that rejected her that is so unique and feels so genuine. this is my absolute favorite version ever since I was a kid. absolutely beautiful and powerful💕
