So we went to a Lemon Festival - Fête du Citron in Menton, France! It was absolutely amazing!!
Here are some fun facts I would love to share:
- There were 13 citrus fruit displays and 10 fruit floats 140 tonnes of lemons & oranges are used
- 20,000-man hours go into creating the floats and structures
- 200 artists are involved in creating these amazing pieces
There were lots of local lemon and orange themed foods to try - Limoncello (made from lemons and oranges), jams, oils and fresh fruit and whatnot!
We tried a new type of tiny olive size orange called 'Kumquat' The seeds are the sweet bit. So we got to chew it long with the seeds to enjoy its taste fully.
There were parades, rock music and Street party! I will post it as a different reel as it's worth a shout
We also practiced gratitude as a family, for such amazing opportunities and experiences
Definitely worth a visit, especially if you are a citrus lover
