One of the WORST Cases I Have Seen as an Attorney... #ThomasPerezJr #LawyerReacts

One of the most disgusting cases of abuse by the police I have seen in my career as a defense attorney...

Thomas Perez Jr. willingly talked to the police without his attorney and suffered through 17 hours of torture. They even went as far as threatening to "unalive" his dog if he didn't confess to "unaliving" his dad. And it was all for NO reason! His dad was simply at the airport alive and well.

What can we take away from this? First, NEVER talk to the police. They WILL psychologically torture you if they think you're guilty of something. Second, invoke your Fifth Amendment right to remain silent until your attorney comes. This should protect you from the police and their immoral tactics to get people to confess.

If they say you are free to leave at any time, then get up and leave. If they stop you from leaving, say that you want an attorney before you answer any questions.

As soon as they say, "you can leave anytime", walk away. When they stop you, then you know not to trust anything they say. I mean, you should already know that, but you'll have proof.😅

you shouldnt have to ask for a lawyer to have cops not psychologically abuse you, threaten and claim to have murdered your dog, claim to have found your fathers corpse when your father is alive, and claim you murdered your father when they know your father is alive, and to not have you committed to an insane asylum and not have the staff told youre a convict and no one is allowed to communicate with you

Whenever police want to take you down to the station to talk only ask one question, Am I under arrest? If no, simply say no and leave If yes, say I want a lwayer.

You could tell them: "I want a lawyer, dog". But I wouldn't recommend it.

What sucks is that police may genuinely need information from you to help them apprehend someone else. But always assume you are the suspect.

I would not think that the police are allowed to terrorize a suspect. There must be a way to sue them.

That’s a normal police investigation these days. It’s gets audio recorded as well and the audio is all that the court will see. The only way to stop this is to stop allowing police interviews and interrogations be used in court.
