If you look closely at the drawing on the Arab dinar, you will see
An Arab man wearing the iqal and ghutra or shemagh ((the turban that covers the head)) as we call it today in our current dialect in the Arabian Peninsula.
Specifically, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the Emirates
This is a beautiful documentation from the Meccan Umayyad Qurayshi dynasty to preserve our history, we (the Arabs of the Arabian Peninsula). Thank God that I was born an Arab Muslim. 🇸🇦🤲💚

Could you do a video on the history of Islamic aniconism? I know at various parts of history the aniconism has gone so far as to not depict any living creatures in art at all (such as in Iberia), and at other points there were even artistic renditions of the Prophet Muhammad, which especially nowadays isn't acceptable at all. I'm curious how these ideas evolved and shifted over time, and even where they come from in the first place.

Who the figure in the coin is, as far as I know, disputed by scholars. Some say it is the Caliph, other say its the prophet Muhammed, while others still claim its Jesus, and the coin was in response to Roman coins issued at the time. Whether the figure is holding a sword or scroll is debated too.
There are other fascinating Islamic coins as well, such as the one with the Jewish Menorah.

I would love it if Al Muqaddimah made a video on the individual Islamic Taifas of Al Andalus
