It is so hard to commit yourself to incubation. We hatch turkey and chicken eggs. When something goes wrong, its worse than losing an animal. You feel personally responsible for that tiny new life on a whole different level. Good luck Sir, and please know that there are others out there that recognize and appreciate your efforts

It might be that the clutch of eggs were infected and the yolk dried up and rotted while the poor snake was gestating and since the filling is supposed to be their first nourishment they may have died ftom its consumption.
The third little snake may have not consumed nearly as much as its two siblings so it survived hatching.
