Apparently, RTE (Raidio Telefis Eireann) in Ireland is supported by TV licences AND advertising! One or the other!
Here in the UK, our licence fee funds the BBC - both telly and radio - but you still have to have a licence, even if you watch very little of its linear output! If we also have to pay additional premiums to watch streaming services, it’s an expensive pastime! You even have to pay to stream audio at a decent quality!

Don’t use Netflix because any of their programs can be found within various apps. Used to watch The Ranch when it was being broadcast and didn’t use Netflix to watch. I think I was using Bee TV. Why pay if the program is available elsewhere?
