The Dunlop stuff's not that good. Oddly, despite not being "pushed", and the company being one everyone loves to hate, I find the Gibson guitar polish to be the best I've used to date.

I usually lather up my strat first, and then rinse with warm water. I've found that a guitar stand in the tub is a great way to hold it steady when i do the shower head rinse. Even with this kind of care, this guitar has been losing paint and warping.
