Good Nz morning guys. Hey Rachel, have you read "Children of Cape Horn" by Rosie Swale. Anneliese, their Prout catamaran, handled some pretty gnarly conditions, particularly on the approach to the Horn. Ironically, she has a photo of them rounding the Cape and it's what I would very loosely describe as flat ish. She describes it in the chapter, "All the lies, are true."
By comparison, check out the aerial photo, taken by the Chilean Airforce of Sir Francis Chichester rounding the Horn. He was just carrying a storm jib. Reefed. My point is that "You'll be fine." If you respond to this comment, then I'll know for sure, you're ok. 😮
