I love the Mercury dime. I have the 2016 gold one slabbed, I have MS67 slabs, but I also have a half dozen MS-grade examples and another half dozen BU or really good AU, then I have tubes of junk Mercury dimes, but I do love collecting them. I have a few seated dimes, and o have a couple deep camp proof Roosevelt dimes just in case, but Mercuries are the most beautiful.
I adore walking half dollars as well, but I am shocked at how Franklins have been appreciating in price. I never expected that. I am trying to accumulate some nice walkers, but I thought to buy some cheap deep camp proof Franklins, and I was shocked to find out that they do not exist.
What kills me are standing Liberty quarters. Those are just so expensive in uncirculated condition.

The reverse of the Mercury dime features a fasces, which became the symbol of Mussolini`s Fascists. In the 1920s, Italy issued a 5 lira coin that depicted an eagle with spread wings perched on a fasces. That apparently served as a model, minus the axe, for the reverse of the Washington quarter, which came out in 1932.
