Good technique, but the orientation of the wall studs is in the wrong (weak) direction. Francis Ching has a great book on basic construction framing. The top wall plate was also in the wrong direction ( per how walls are actually framed.) You added it like a beam, but that is not how top plates are placed. And they are usually a double top plate on a wall.
