Guys i figured it out, what you can do is go to the transfer container and access its inventory, then from there, switch to your ships cargo and start depositing whatever into it. It should transfer it to your outpost containers, if youve created an output link :)

Figured it out. Go to the transfer container directly and access the transfer menu. From there you can select the resources you want to store to the container directly from your ship. Donāt get spooked by the ātakeā I promise you itāll store everything in the container afterwards

For anyone wondering Iāve spent 100 hrs. For linking your ship cargo to a container so u can access your ship from your base is a storage container.
The cargo link is to link two outposts to eachother. Set up your extractor and power then create the cargo link pad. Connect an output from your extractor to your output on the cargo link. Then go to your other base click the console and click link outposts. A cargo ship should land ever 10 minutes or so and fill up your incoming bin. Tada.

Wait so the cargo link has to be within view to pair them? It canāt be on another outpost that is on the other side of the planet?

Don't waste all that time, do the mission that allows you to unlock the Lodge and once you get your own room the safe there holds an infinite amount of stuff you can land right at the lodge door and get to your safe anytime
