... This comment section reminds me of why I don't normally interact with newer K-pop stands which is ironic cuz I'm not that much older than most of them. Like as someone who basically grew up listening to K-pop I had a mom and older sister who's 12 years older than me and an aunt who is about 16 years older than me who were all into K-pop so I grew up listening to this genre of music I have literally lived through the era of company stands and how absolutely delusional and fucked most of them are and it's like weird reliving that again because we moved on from that. Fans got to the point where they started understanding that these companies do not give two shits about the artist or the fans so they stopped caring about the company and it was all about the artists themselves. But somehow we are seeing it whether we're talking about YG or HYBE where we have people defending these corporations they don't give two craps about us or the artist. If you like a group you like the group it has nothing to do with the company and if it does then you need to get your priorities fixed as someone who went to school for entertainment business specifically I'm telling you you are nothing more than a dollar sign they do not care about you and they are using you they're not trying to cater towards you because they like you they're catering towards you because you are the person making those CEOs and owners of those companies multi-millionaires. Also who cares if she wrote this or not we all know how shity YG entertainment was. We don't even have to look at the girls of blackpink we can look at all the shit that happened with I don't know let's say Lee Hi , 2NE1 Big Bang. Like let's not even sit here and act as if YG himself didn't have to go to court and was found guilty for trying to bribe that woman who ended up ruining TOP and B.I when they were both still signed to that company let's not even talk about the fact that when he's had artists this company in general let alone him or the current CEO never sat there and tried to like actually help out their artists. Bom her scandal shouldn't even have been a scandal honestly they should have sat there saw what the hell they could do to help this woman out because she was just trying to get medication that she had already been taken because her primary doctor was still in America at this point she did not have one in South Korea that company could have helped her get any primary doctor in South Korea they could have helped her with him making sure she had the right medication because there's no way in hell that the company wasn't aware of the fact that she ended up suffering once again that that PTSD came back from her watching someone literally die on the fucking soccer field when she was a child and they didn't do shit they threw him under the bus. B.I not only him but his members at that time talked about how much they were struggling because they were in Japan the company just kept shipping them off to Japan and they had basically been living in Japan for like the last 2 years at that point only going back to Korea for like maybe 2-3 weeks because Visa mandatory having to go back to your country things and then flying right back out to japan. Everyone was complaining I remember when this happened because staff members talked about it they talked about how the members are putting pressure on him as the leader to try and talk to YG and to the staff members so that they could come back to Korea they wanted to have a Korean come back they missed their family they missed their friends they didn't want to keep saying in Japan he was also stressing out on his own anyway because yeah he had a really close relationship with his little sister and of course his mom and he wanted to be there too but at the same time the company was putting pressure on him to sit there and make sure that they did well in Japan so he had people coming from both sodes. The papa YG's mistress because people seem to forget that that woman not only does she ruin his TOP and Wonho careers / ended them being able to be in their groups but she was found out to have been YG's mistress like he legitimately was seeing this woman while also being a full ass married man to that woman you know who used to be an idol in his company that he purposely sabotaged because he wanted to marry her well apparently she still wasn't good enough because he was actually still seeing this woman behind her back while this girl was also sitting there and ruining all of these idols careers like you guys have to watch the videos there's several videos on this that go in depth about it I'm pretty sure Stephanie has one of them too and it's like when you really look at the shit that this woman did and how she's tied to all these idols it blows your mind how this was even able to happen because Papa YG couldn't keep it in his pants and he also couldn't keep his mistress out of his company. but that woman was trying to set up idols left right and center anyway because she was just bored and also she just didn't like certain people and this is stuff that came out of her own mouth during the several court cases that she had. Including the one after she actually got out of prison for 2 years and then went ahead and tried to do the shit again. But it really proves how much the company really gave 0 facts about their artist cuz it's like these people are literally sitting here and complaining they're begging and pleading with you for them to be able to be back at home. They want to come back matter of fact their fans wanted to fucking Korean come back and they didn't do Jack schitt they sat there and said yeah no. And this is the company that people are genuinely riding or dying for like I could never. Even before I went to freaking college to get a degree in business I was like I would never stand a company because at the end of the day it's a bunch of primarily old men with money who want to make more money off of young children. as fucked up as it seems that the only way to really look at the entertainment industry especially in Asia 95% of the time it's a man who starts a company is the CEO of it even if he eventually steps down from that decides to go ahead and scout a bunch of children from middle school elementary school and occasionally high School brainwashed them into thinking that being overworked is a good thing then debuting them and taking them for every ounce of talent and their youth that they possibly can get out of them before either discarding them like their last week's dirty laundry once they've served their purpose or if they get into like a scandal or something that the company genuinely doesn't want to deal with then basically just tossing them to the side as if there is nothing more than a disposable McDonald's cup.
