I have been drinking Mate for 2 years now and i had never understood how clogging happened since its never once happened to me. I recently got my answer: Ive been a Playadito/Cruz De Malta, Rosamonte guy(all larger cut brands) and 2 weeks ago i tried Canarias, and oh boy was i introduced to a clogged bombilla 😂. I didnt let the mate soak nearly long enough so it was an easy fix but man was that frustrating, especially on my first fill.

I've noticed also that the temperature of the water and the amount of powder/dust can clog the mate (maybe because the temp afects the size of the powder?).

So I’ve been drinking Argentine mate for a couple days now. Thanks for your videos! I don’t have a thermometer so I heat the water just before it starts boiling. Am I over heating the water? I like the taste so there’s that but I’m just curious.
