Went through similar fears. however one by one my immediate family members left too. We also were close with our worldly grandparents and great grandmother who embraced me while it was all going down. Never said too much, but just being there was important. And mo matter what my parents said my great grandmother always gave us Christmas presents telling them that if she was to respect their beliefs, that it was only fair that they respect hers. She told me later that she wasnt really religious, but she felt sorry for us. She also made sure on our Birthdays that she made chocolate pudding in celebration of them, but didnt sing or anything and sent cards with money in it. I am grateful for them.

That is the greatest weapon of control, fear. When people are giving you a reason to be afraid of someone/something else, you need to look at them extra hard. Probably more there to be afraid of than what they're saying.

I was unable to finish my story because FB was acting up on me. To continue my story: I have been in touch with someone from my family who also was raised JW was sexually harrassed by an elder I'm told there actual proof as there text messages. This elder WAS NOT removed from the CULT. He was demoted as elder to what's called Ministerial status Servant, which is still a position of power. Also AGAIN no authorities were notified, protected by the JW organization.
Unfortunately this family member is now an atheist.
This new news triggered a manic episode for me. I tried to tell my brother Aaron about the sexual abuse that was suffered in the JW cult but he accused me rehashing the past but actually I was truly to tell him how corrupt that cult actually is. Unfortunately he sided over the cult, believing them over his own flesh and blood. As a matter of fact he texted my husband and told him that he has no sister. So you see everyone, the JW''s don't appear as law abiding citizens as they claimed to be. I've delvoped a bleeding ulcer and I pretty much had a mini stroke at the same time because I've gotten so worked up about this. I have decided to tell my story to everyone despite this and I won't stop until the leaders of this cult go on TV and publically make an apology to the whole world to all the victims

Continuously be shamed by and always made wrong because of the fear that our parents live in that if we do the wrong thing we’re not making it through into the paradise there’s no way they could understand what a mindfuck this is, unless they were a child that needed to actually lived there, truth rather than choose their belief system as an adult

Soooo....... Very true, every word she says. I've experienced this same thing that she has the last 20 years I've been out of the JWs. I'm not dfed, but I'm still treated like I'm dfed. This young lady is very wise for her age, as she's gone through these tough experiences. I respect her immensely in sharing this. Good for her .
