My father bought the 4WD version of this car when my family moved to Buffalo. I got his base 1979 Civic with the mini trunk, 1200cc motor with a manual choke, and a 4 speed manual WITHOUT overdrive. And it rode on 12 inch wheels. I miss that car.

The design and simplicity of the car is awesome. I’ve owned several; I’m on my third one now approaching 100K miles. It’s garage kept and well maintained, so it still runs like the day I bought it—no issues ever.

I made a lot customer maintenance on such 80s compact cars. They where honest cars, you felt them while driving… today everything is much safer and more comfortable but feel always synthetic to me. And it does not play a role which brand and car

remember which one) so had to sell it.
Really a practical vehicle and surprisingly
