We have to answer this question in a philosophical way, If you read aesthetics theory, there are to approaches to the topic, one objective that put the emphasiss in the aesthetic features of the object, so the beauty are in the object itself and the public just have to find, Aristotle said that the beauty is the harmony bettwen proportion and number of the parts, If we read San Agustin or Boetious musical aesthetics, the number and the rythm have a huge impact, for these reason we can find rhytmic modes in medieval music, something that appear again in Western music in integral serialism. By the other side, we can find a subjective approach that started in the British empirims with Locke and his essay about human undestanding, and finally Kant stablish, in the copernican change, and put the subject in the center, so, the object change with the categories and knowledge of the subject. The aesthetic experience is posible in a free interaction bettwen imagination and understanding, in a formalism key, Kant said that something have to has the object, some aesthetics features that we can consider beauty or ugly, but something have to has the subject to appreciate it; Kant also stablish the difference of beauty, the good and the adequate, so the beauty is something without a concept, the final without finally. Adorno said that the beauty emanates from the ugly and after Awschwitzs, the poetry never exist again, so the beauty died in the camps. Like Lachenman said with his aesthetic music theory that beauty its a burgueous value, so the music has to find other way to exparess, therefore the ugly its a political and aesthetic defends agains this burdgeos concept of beauty. A los People said that Contemporary music since Scriabin and Schoemberg to new are "ugly" and Its one of the reason they find this music inattractive, not interesting or unpopular, we have to decolonize and deconstruct this concept to can understanding and have other aesthetic experience with the music and Art. In Marxims sublime, Eagleton affirm that beauty its a political conquest because the favtory works deform the body, like Nietzsche express in Zaratustra. So, If the music always aspire to define as a beatufull Art or pretend to create beatifull " sound" objects, its a kind of naive concept, in other aesthetics categories we can find more interesting ways of understanding and express. We can read Mark mazullo's analysis of the grotesque in Beethoven Last sonates. I think its important deconstruct the concept of beauty in way to accept other kind of musical and Art forms, like I said before, each are history period creates a cultural and aesthetic values with their own fellings. Perhaps the beauty its Just a old fashion concept that a lot artist are not interesting to explore and we, the public, have to stop to find it.

This reminds me of a conversation I once had with my sister. It still bothers me that I can't make my intentions clear enough in my compositions for others to take away what I try to put into them.
