Harry forgot to add that 1965-1970 fifty cent pieces were still 40% silver and some 1971-1974 Eisenhower dollars were 40% silver too. If the edge of the coin has a copper strip its not silver.

In the late 1970s I was trick-or-treating with my brother and this one house gave us silver dimes so we kept going back for more. We knew it as kids because our dad was a collector

I got this dime for change at pizza shop about 10 years ago it was from 1860s and had roman numeral 3 (III) on back i thought was old silver dime, but i found out later its not a dime and its not silver its a 3 cent nickel but it is still worth atleast 30 bucks or more so its worth about an ounce of silver or more :)

It’s a great example to show your children the value of precious metals. A quarter back then had the purchase power of $5.00. This is the definition of fiat kids 😮

Also, I'd quite like a clip discussing old pennies, particularly the ferrous [aka reactive to magnetism] wheat pennies. I gather that your bailiwick is specifically to do with Silver, but in regards to antiquated coins, they're still fascinating nonetheless.

Harry is respectful with his answers and is an example of someone you can ask a stupid question.

It's worth making note of the stark difference that they make when making contact with other coins, especially other ones with silver content.
