I blew a disc out in my back just over a year ago. It has taken until now to be able to sit again relatively comfortably. In that time i got a stand up desk which allowed me to continue my job as a professional game sound design engineer. Ill never take sitting and bad posture for granted ever again lol.

Kii speakers perform better with less room treatment than was typical for mid-far freestanders in years past. The master bus will sound more attenuated in certain places than it really is (Fletcher Munson) so make sure the room allows enough off-axis interaction, particularly with sidewall refections.

That may sound like a nerd, but I actually used cosine=adjacent/hypotenuse after measuring the depth of my desk to find exactly how far away the speakers needed to be, and then angled them them 60° so they were pointed exactly at The Sweet spot

Check out Sound Anchor stands. They’re extremely dense, so your speaker won’t lose energy through transmission like with your concrete blocks, BUT they also stand on tiny pins, so there’s virtually no transmission and energy lost into the floor. It’ll greatly enhance your low end. It’s worth the price tag.

Nice 😊 Good to see plenty of lighting. To many sedentary engineers out there and not enough daylight lighting. Take care 😊

The krks I have come with an app. You sit your phone on top of the speaker and add you rotate the speaker treated the 'sweet' spot you get a measurement in degrees.

Thanks for the tip. BTW, nice setup. Is that a real Fairchild 670 compressor in your rack or is it a clone? SWEET!

Actually, you should look at your speakers and see their inner walls parallel to the line of sight. Your ears are a little more apart than your eyes, so they will look directly into the center of the speakers. ;-)
