Diaz came out as gay after several accusations of discrimination, sexual harassment and a hostile work environment were made against the former police chief and police department.
Four female officers filed a $5 million tort claim in April describing a culture they all considered âgrooming,â âactive sexismâ and âpredatory behaviorâ by male counterparts at the SPD. One of the officers specifically alleges Diaz made her uncomfortable with frequent comments about her appearance and dress.

So this gross guy gets to continue making bank in the police world and has little shame or punishment for f'en on women yet I get wrongfully charged with the crime committed against me by my aggressor and I'll probably never be employed again even though I wasn't convicted because it'll still probably follow me around for the rest of my life in other ways. Not to mention the trauma this caused me. Then there's all the times police officers were needlessly aggressive with me, leading to multiple injuries and trauma and all I had done was innocently call them for moral support.

How is someone telling you that your clothes donât fit you right and maybe you should lose or gain some weight considered sexual harassment?? Someone please make it make sense. Or, how is someone saying that they can help you fix something after you just complained or brought up in casual conversation that something in your house was broken sexual harassment or a âguiseâ to invite himself over to your place when you could easily just say no?
