In 2014 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Chemo literally scrambled my brain. I got away from my passion to read. Now, I'm 9 years "cancer free." I'm a survivor. I finally started reading again. And I sure missed it. My passion for reading is back!

in case this helps anyone else: something that helps me a ton is reading ebooks on my phone and increasing the font size.
when i try to read normal print books (or even ebooks on tablets or e-readers) it’s like my brain gets overwhelmed with all the words in front of me and has trouble staying on track. narrowing it down to just a handful of words per line and a handful of lines per page reduces the mental load.

Reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies and it became one of my reasons to recover when i couldn't really do it anymore. Now i'm back to loving it and i wouldn't change that for anything. Also, i loved the seven husbands of evelyn hugo!!! It's such a good book!
