I don't think there is an objective answer to this question, because it is soi dependent on the story you want to tell. I love both, but there are definitely stories that are best suited to literature, while others are best suited to film. Some can be both! But it really is a question of what is required for the story to be told in the best way

Film because theres only so much you can say with words alone film allows for artforms such as silent films or storytelling with colours alone its incredible of course books are important but film is better to tell storys and convey humanity
