Gonna have to disagree with you on this one, it was one of the best album listening experiences Iā€™ve had in a while and it keep coming back to it

Ah dang, bummed it didnā€™t click with you but to each their own! I donā€™t think this is their best album by any means but it doesnā€™t feel like a huge step down to me. Welcome to the DCC, Tomorrow Is Closed, City Haunts, Do You Love Me Yet? and Members Only are absolutely stellar in my opinion. Album of the year for me but I get itā€™s not for everyone

Moral Panic as a whole didn't click to me like their first two albums did but DCC has brought me back and is probably my favourite album this year.

I do personally think that Morale Panic is NBT best album to date, i do enjoy Dead Club City, but i do agree i think the album while still being enjoyable and easy to listen to is underwhelming, and i think it`s a real shame that Connor`s voice got underutilized, while i can hear the more blues and jazz vocal style, the lyrics and his vocal delivery makes songs far less emotionally impactful for me. I do still think it`s a great record though as it`s easy to listen to flows nicely from each track to the next, fo me Broken machine while it has some iconic NBT songs, just feels like a bunch of singles all pushed randomly together.

I need to revisit Nothing But Thieves' catalogue. It's been quite a while

I understand the comment about them playing safe on this album, I feel like thatā€™s part of them experimenting, they still want to keep it clean but to me at least they delivered a consistent record and I think they rock the 80s sound a bit! Personally Iā€™m loving it more on every listen, probably on par to Moral Panic for me, with my favourite song absolutely being Do You Love Me Yet?, probably already in my top 10 songs of theirs. Also love WTTDCC, Tomorrow Is Closed, Members Only and City Haunts. I struggled with the mixing and randomness of Pop The Balloon to begin with, but definitely grown on me and it slaps now! Also love the mellow Talking To Myself, reminds me of what I wish Arctic Monkeys sounded like on their recent record. Surprisingly, Foreign Language might be my least favourite track, didnā€™t click with me really, the album is still good in my opinion, Iā€™d give it a solid B tier rating. Nice short review!

Not a bad album by any means, but not as good as their previous one which was fantastic. Favorites: Overcome, Tomorrow Is Closed, City Haunts.

This is how I felt in the beginning but after a week of just hearing it. It grew and I memorized every song

I think the track list is kind of off tbh. I also wish they would have leaned even more into the 80s vibe and concepts of the DCC. It feels like half of the tracks are following the theme and then the other half are just regular NBT songs that couldā€™ve been on Moral Panic or Broken Machine.

Tomorrow Is Closed & Talking To Myself are super mid, and I suppose Keeping You Around is a little forgettable as well, but I really like everything else. Even adore some of them. Overcome, City Haunts, Do You Love Me Yet, Members Only, Foreign Language, Pop The Balloon. Those are all probably gonna end up on my year end list.

I definitely enjoyed this album, but I am so hopeful for the day they do a nostalgic 'return to form' for darker, more raw indie hard rock in future albums; the Moral Panic EP really displayed this grittier vibe with songs like Future proof and Ce n'est Rien. Really hits the spot when it comes to bursts of aggressive release and pure fun, such a sucker for that sound.

HARD disagree. This album is incredible. Coming from someone who said "its alright" when my fiance asked me how it was after the first listen

I saw the cracks in Moral Panic and I knew that this was where weā€™re headed. Itā€™s not awful, but itā€™s such a shame when you think that itā€™s the same band that made broken machine.
