I'm diabetic and couldn't get Ozempic despite being prescribed it. People who don't need it took all the supplies.

I find it far more pathetic for celebrities with all the resources available to make genuine, long-lasting improvements to their lifestyle with the help of great personal trainers and nutritionists, instead just taking the short cut that could have detrimental effects on their health. Compare this to those who donā€™t have the same resources but have the determination and dedication to go about it the hard way and sticking to it. Especially when there are people like Dr Karan who give free, digestible health advice and many others in the health and fitness spheres online.

Not to mention the short supply that diabetics(those who need the medicine to live) are now having to deal with because healthy people just want to temporarily lose a few pounds.

My A1C is elevated and genetic testing shows I am predisposed to diabetes due to a strong family history. People have tried to shame me for my doctor prescribing Rybelsus to help me lose weight and in turn lower my A1C to hopefully prevent me from becoming diabetic. People need to mind their own business when it comes to peopleā€™s healthcare.

I was put on Ozempic to try and treat my PCOS side effects and hyperinsulinemia, as a way to delay full onset diabetes but ended up in hospital from extreme dehydration due to uncontrollable persistent vomiting. This is not a game.

I'm a pancreatitis suffer and the pancreatitis patient groups are becoming flooded with ozempic takers who have suffered pancreatitis and I cam assure you, it's life changing, even a very mild attack is hideous. I'd never take anything with a risk of pancreatitis šŸ˜¢

I had the gastric sleeve surgery a year and a half ago and my mom always brings up ozembic. Your videos have been so helpful in understanding and explaining to her why I feel like I made the right choice for me!!!

Iā€™m on Ozempic and I havenā€™t seen the side effects of weight lost yet. (Week 20) I mainly take it for my diabetes, which thankfully has been going down. But those who are trying to take it for weight loss mainly are crazy cause that roughly $2g/month just for one pen (4 shots) and itā€™s not guaranteed youā€™ll lose weight. If anything you will feel the horrible side effects - those arenā€™t fun to deal with. Which can be the reason why your losing the weight. Your better off changing your eating habits and actually working out. Otherwise you will gain it all back because you failed to learn the real lessons to why your gaining in the first place. Plus it makes it harder for those of us who actually need it for life threatening reasons (diabetes) and causing them to be backed ordered (sometimes weeks or months!)

People forget that the body is an efficient machine of survival. Everything sudden and drastic changes they do to the body will get affected twice the amount. Especially when it comes to weight changes.

Thank you Dr. KARAN, as a new diabetic my doctor put me on ozempic, however I must go to a dietitian and Exercise. I have a goal of Getting down to my ideal weight and getting my blood sugar under control before i'm taken off ozampic. My Doctor increased my dosage gradually. And now that I'm at a 1% of ozempic have lost 6 pounds in 1 week. But i'm concerned it's not healthy. But I do feel better.

As someone who was anorexic, is weight restored and recovered - Ozempic stresses me the fuck out. Anyone with an eating disorder knows, no matter how long you have been recovered, the ditch is still just as close behind you It would be so easy to slip right back into old habits and get my hands on ozempic

I went from 275 to 215 in under a year. All I did was change my diet and chug water. If you want to lose weight too, then you need to change your life

I take Wegovy because of weight gain and hypertension related to kidney disease, hypothyroid disorder, ovarian cysts, and prediabetes. I'm stage IV CKD so I need to lose weight so I can get on the transplant list. I had a kidney transplant in 2014 which has declined because of my lupus repeatedly flaring despite following my transplant immunosuppression protocol. I also have had a consultation for weight loss surgery, but because I have gastrointestinal and absorption issues already, I was told to try medication first before sleeve gastrectomy, the only type of surgery I can have post-transplant.

2022 ozempic started getting rare... our orders would be cancelled. I was in panic. My diabetic patient was waiting, I had ordered it 3 hours ago... and it just didn't came. So I phoned the place that I ordered it from. They apologised, mistake in their system...they hadn't had as much as they thought, but would sent it the day after. And they did. With the patient having one pen left, we were lucky. I started ranting about it among my new coworkers. They looked at me funny. "That's been over 6 months now." I wasšŸ˜®. "Yeah, didn't you hear? It's the newest diet plan." I wasšŸ˜µšŸ˜µšŸ˜µ. No, I did not know that. I was busy working in 5 different pharmacies since the pandemic hit. This being the fifth and the only one with multiple ozempic patients. But yeah... that is my reality during the pandemic. Nothing but work. And I don't have a TV, but I wouldn't have come around to use it much an

Are they regaining the weight because of side effects of the drug or are they gaining weight because they haven't adjusted their diet and eating habits to maintain their new weight?
