12,000 times more valuable really brings home the value!

My first gold coin was a 1/4 ounce gold maple (the premium was pretty low at the time), when it was delivered I was like ā€œThatā€™s it? This little thing is worth $500?ā€ lol

Showing a comparison like this is much more useful to me then simply reciting the dimensions. Thanks for posting this. Now can you do a similar one showing the 1/10oz gold eagle?

My first gold coin was a 1oz Candian Maple. I had many Canadian silver Maples so when my 1oz Gold Maple arrived, I was certain they'd made a mistake and sent me a 1/2 coin instead. Looked closer.... nope. DENSE stuff!

Excellent size and value comparison. I'd love to find a1/4 ounce gold coin in a roll of nickels. I don't think I'm that lucky, though

Thank you I just recently ordered a 1/4 oz gold eagle, so thank you for this. It hasn't come in yet but this gives me a good idea of the size.

I like less diameter and a thicker coin. The Silver Kangaroo is an example of one I don't like becouse it's so thin. I'd like to see a thickness comparison side by side of the American coins. I've looked and failed to find that picture. My issue is do I want the half oz or the quarter oz? I don't think they are the same thickness. šŸ‘šŸ’Ŗ

I bought my first gold coin because no size comparison.. I thought it was a faux reproduction. Ended up 1950 $1

Looks more pretty than a nickle.... What is so outstanding about a gold coin is the heft and dense weight for its size.

Same with gold nuggets. It's hard to relate to the actual size unless it's next to an US Quarter or something else.
