I use a dab of hot glue, it acts like a diffuser and is removable in a second if need be.

It seems like a lot of work if you have a lot of pedals, when you only have 2 eyes, I think the smart thing to do is obvious.

I've used whiteout and I think dark fingernail polish would be even better because you could easily removed it for resale.

I have an EQD plumes which I swear has a small star for an LED. I covered it with blue masking tape and it’s still brighter than my Boss pedals.
