Those who prefer PU are of a different generation in most cases. I shop at thrift stores and all you see now is a sea of ugly textured bags. I know that there has always been ‘pleather’ (that’s was what we called that material) bags coats etc but this new pleather is gross. I understand the environment thing and animals concern however being old school leather is just above all. I never cared for the saffiano I always thought that it was a lie that it was leather. Just hated the feel of it. When it came out I wanted to find a professional to prove that it was not leather.😮

The problem is that the real leather interior is also given a bonded plastic coating that prevents you from being able to properly care for it like a traditional leather good, so both are poor options for lasting past 15-20 years.
