Thank you so much for making this short. Ive struggled with this for so long, as another creative. I used to want to be an actress, an author, an artist, a musician, but was and am always shut down by my family. Now I still struggle with putting myself out there in those areas... but yet I dont think Ill be happy anywhere else, if that makes sense. All I really want to do is be a live performer, on broadway or otherwise. Idk. Its tough being young and not knowing what direction to go in. But its nice to know that someone out there gets it.

I wish someone had told me when I was young what other people think - or don't think - about me is IRRELEVANT. When we're constantly looking for validation or acceptance or _______ (fill in the blank) outside of ourselves, we have no real self. Our entire sense of security and wellbeing is dependent upon the whims of others. Which is rediculous! I cannot even begin to tell you the freedom, strength, sanity and straight up joy I have found since I have detached from needing other's validation and turned entirely to trusting my Self. Yep, it's a Zen move for sure, but when you stop caring about what others think, (or what you think they think), is when you truly begin to love your Self AND others!!
