“Sharing is caring” has never felt so low key diabolical.

My first realization of "im a mom and getting my kid's illness is my fate" was when mine was around 2 in preschool. He got Hand Foot Mouth. We got him on meds and a few days later we went to a fall festival. He stayed in his stroller. I gave him some supper and when he was done he handed it back to me. Earlier that day I had cut my hand on a cardboard box. Yall may know where this is going. 😂 HFM as an adult is wild.

My Mom used to have shoe boxes on the shelf in the hall closet. Each box was divided by symptoms. First aid, stomach and head, cold medicine, and allergy. Mom was prepared.

As an educator, specifically elementary level, you WILL get the “back to school cold” every year despite your best efforts. Just think of the “Freshman 15” except you get it in August, December, and April. The best you can do is get ahead of it :) listen to Mama Gwen.

BRILLIANT!!!!!! You gave taken me back over 45 years. So very true, don't forget 'loo rolls' and gallons of chichen soup. Thank you for these clips, I always end up feeling happier and often giggle on and off all day.❤

Kids are so generous, they always share the good bugs.

This feels so very kind as a public service announcement. Thank you.

that last part....10,000% accurate. I don't get colds...I'm a stay at home introvert. I get colds from the two gemlin nephews who bring bugs home with them, and share them with me. so generous.

Facts. Been doing this since daycare. My pandemic toddler didn’t “need” daycare but desperately needed to socialize so off she went for 4 hours/ 4 days per week. It honestly made the transition into preschool and then kindergarten much easier.

My 2 year old started daycare and a month and a half in brought home the flu and shared it with the whole family... Thanks kid...

The best advice ever given for first time school parents. Absolutely correct on all counts. I think I'd add a few "sick buckets" to that pile, as well; don't forget to leave at least on in the car.

❤❤❤ this is absolutely a fact! When our oldest started kindergarten we spent the first 3 months fighting all different sicknesses as a family... it was miserable.

As a Mom who’s being doing the school gig with only one left in high school this is solid advice! I also stock my pantry with cans of bone broth, chicken noodle soup, crackers, applesauce etc, for days when we’re all sick. May the force be with you! 😂

This is so fabulous that you did this. Sometimes people forget or don't think of things like this. I love your honesty, you're humor... And you always keep it real 😁
