Thank you for your years of videos. When I first got my ostomy in 2010, trying to learn things from ostomy nurses simply weren't around in my city. I learned so much from you and others in the ostomy community!

This also demonstrates why some ambulant people need to use accessible toilets.

As a Crohns sufferer my biggest fear has been an ostomy bag.. two bowel resections later that fear is even greater. Having seen your videos I am no longer worried . THANK YOU.

Yourself, and other youtubers, have made my journey over the last couple of years much easier. Bravo from an old bloke in the UK.

I have an ileostomy too. I got mine in 1997. I use a drainable pouch. I have to empty it too often to wear a closed one. I have Crohns Disease too. I was diagnosed in 1993 after about 5 years of being sick. I no longer have any colon or rectum. I only have a short amount of small intestine. My Crohns is one of the most severe. My great-niece found out a couple of years ago she has it too. She just turned 17. She's already had her first surgery. I have had multiple surgeries myself. This disease definitely doesn't mess around.

Youโ€™re amazing. I had an ostomy my senior year of college (lupus!) and had a similar abdominal scar. Then when I was in my mid 40โ€™s got it revised so it was flat. I love how you are so confident and happy to educate the world! โค

Bed Bath & Beyond carried a scent hider called Poopouri. White liquid in Original was awesome. Regular folks use it too. They spritz a couple sprays on top of the water in the terlit bowl. It forms a film on top of the water and it's clean scent spreads quickly. I put a few drop in the Depends when needed. IBD is a terrible thing to have. Thanks for sharing. You are quite brave and also confident. ๐Ÿ˜Š

We all can adopt the attitude that we all have to get rid of our waste it doesn't have to be an oddity as to how we do it. It's dramatized when it isn't done "naturally" using indoor plumbing. Though yes! You did just use indoor plumbing. Thanks for educating the massess

Thank you for showing exactly how you do this. I use a drainable bag and could not, in my mind, figure out how you emptied yours. Nice demo!! Much appreciated.

Thanks for sharing. I learned something new today. Number 1: An osteomy is not the end of the world. Thatโ€™s encouraging. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Appreciate these videos, even as a nurse it gives me patients insights as well I guess. I hate to admit this but Iโ€™ve always been a little intimidated with stoma care and I know it is something very overwhelming for patients so I want to get over that and your videos are one way that help a lot so thank you so much.

As an ostomy nurse, I love to see people using products in atypical ways. Iโ€™ve never proposed my ileostomy pts use the nondrainable bags but I love your rationalization! (I wouldnโ€™t suggest in past because they need to empty/dispose of it more than their insurance would supply) thanks for helping me think outside of the box!
