My family had a doberman pinscher when I was little. That was the smartest dog I had ever seen. He was able to open the gate and close it behind him. He knew how to turn the door knob to open the door to the house. He was always alert and could sense danger but was never vicious or mean to the family. Remember playing in a pile of hay that we had for our horses and he starts barking at me which scares me because I was 5. Turns out there was a snake in there and he was warning me about it. My grandpa found the snake and got rid of it. No other dog has come close to being like that Doberman.

I had a rottie mixed with lab and mastiff. I had to hug people in front of him so he would not kill. After that, you could wrestle with him, pet him all you wanted. He was the best dog. The one dog you never get over. RIP Spyder!!
